Max Rohde is a Spotlight Awards semi-finalist and a Young Arts jazz bass winner. He was the first chair bassist at Mira Costa High School’s Grammy Award Winning Classical and Jazz Ensembles, and he received the judge’s choice award at Berklee College of Music’s High School Jazz Festival. He has played at world-renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Staples Center.
Max currently a junior at UNT where he studies jazz bass under Lynn Seaton, and sings in the vocal jazz group Avenue C who recently received a Downbeat Award for Best Undergraduate Vocal Jazz Ensemble. He currently performs as in independent contractor with various artists.
After graduation, Max hopes to tour the world as professional bassist. He looks forward to writing, recording and working with inspiring musicians.
